More than a year have past since we finished our thesis and graduated from college. All of us are working now in different companies albeit all in the field of IT, that’s what our course is all about after all.

So yeah, quick update on me, I had a rocky start in my career, began in the field of marketing but eventually returned to my roots. I’m a Business Analyst now in a respected IT company. I still go to DLSU once in a while, still play football weekly and still enjoy building model kits. I guess nothing really changed except work and a little more responsibility. All good to me. Who’s next?

BTW, dinner next Friday, a mini reunion somewhere. We’ll get in touch.

First off, sorry since it took quite a while for this but I wanted to be sure that we’ll all be graduating this june before I post this. Guess what? We’re all gonna march! Woohoo! 4 years of programming! Studying! Math(phew!)! and all that other sh*t! Thank God!

*Ehem* Now back to my post…

We’ve been together for like what? 3 years? 4 years? It really doesn’t matter because I know it wont stop there, we’ll still be friends maybe until we have our grandchildren. And with that, I’d like to thank you guys for everything. From understanding me when I’m not my usual self (tinatamad!) to pushing me when I’m about to give up. Thanks guys! I’d also like to thank you for being real friends, not just thesis mates, remember our late night starbucks when I was driving? Or the Eric and Manu sexy dance? Or the Marhiz and Jo pictorials? We made good memories we can cherish, who said we can stop there right? I know we will eventually miss each other and plan a get together.

And for every “thank you’s” I said, I also have to say sorry for so many things, losing my cool, being bossy and shouting at times. Sorry guys! You know it’s for the good of the group (well, only the bossy part). Still I’m very very sorry!

So many more I want to tell you guys, but I guess I have to end here. Just remember, even if we have our own lives to live, we are still JEMM, the group that conquered everything in ICTM. I’m proud I conquered with you guys. Congratulations to us, a job very well done. Thanks for everything, let’s keep in touch. :)

JEMM After defense Blog # 3

Time really flies. I remembered just 3 months ago, I was super worried if we can finish our thesis on time. Honestly, I don’t think so. I was so worried that every night I couldn’t sleep just thinking about it. I was so sad and depressed. I felt so panicked. I kept on pushing my group members to work, even though I know we’re all physically and emotionally tired. Our group has been through a lot of hardships. Being the leader, I feel more stressed. It’s my responsibility to handle the group and I wasn’t doing well so sometimes I would even have emotional nights alone. Until now I can’t imagine how we could overcome all of it.

Being a leader is hard. I have a lot of not-so-good side which others won’t easily understand. I know sometimes I am stubborn; I don’t have the faith in my groupmates. But now, they proved me that I was wrong. Completely wrong. I’m so proud of them. I wanted to thank my groupmates from the bottom of my heart that they were there to support each one of us. All the arguments that our group had have significantly helped us know more about each other. Our group was once going to separate but I think it’s the destiny and faith that remained us together again. The memory will remain forever even though we will soon part our ways.

THANK YOU GUYS AGAIN FOR MAKING MY LAST TERM OF COLLEGE SOOOO AWESOME!!!IT DEFINITELY WON’T BE SO GOOD WITHOUT YOU GUYS! I LOVE YOU JEMM!!!

Where the hell is JEMM?

A lot of people might wonder where did the JEMM members go for the past week. Well, after our defense our group members did have a short break. Like Marhiz, she went to Legazpi to attend her sister’s graduation and have a short vacay. The two other guys, Eric and Manu still have their classes on school so I guess they’re quite busy about it. Manu’s dad is also home from States. Family-reunion-thing going on! :) While I’m home bound. All I did was eat sleep jog laptop. haha. But I did spend a lot of quality time with my grandparents. :)

Good news is JEMM will be reunited again on this Friday! We’ll be having a checkup meeting for our revisions.

PS # 1: This friday is April Fools Day! Are you ready with your ‘Shocking Jokes’? :))

PS # 2: We still have a pending blog for JEMM After Defense Blog. :( I’m currently waiting for Manu to send his to me but, I guess he’s too busy to do it. Let’s just wait for it. :) Others might asked, why not post mine first? - Because my blog is for finale! ‘nuff said.

“I’ll keep this simple and sweet” those were the words of Sir Renato Molano that struck our group (JEMM) with happiness and tears in these eyes. Those were the words that will make us march in june and take a new step in life,however the sad part is that those are also the words that will make us miss all the times of working,enjoying and all the stuffs we done in our thesis group.

JEMM, which sounds like the word gem, has been through it all. From sanades to ictproj, all the arguments,fights,misunderstanding,shouting,anger and tears. Each and every step we learned to make the right decision and find it inside to become a matured person and handle problems properly. Im proud and thankfull that my groupmates really taught me several helpfull attitudes and lessons which i will carry and keep all through out my life. I learned that either you control your attitude or it controls you, i change my attitude to be more cooperative and responsible. I knew that i have to sacrifice a lot for my group to be successfull. I’ve learned that sometimes the people you expect to kick you when you’re down, will be the ones to help you get back up, credits to jo, marhiz and manu :D The gems are constantly shining, but often we do not see them until the dark hours. I can say that all the problems and sad time we’ve encountered are the dark hours we’ve experience but at the very end we learned to become one and shined brightly at the very end.

I will always keep it in my mind and heart ( naks ang chessy ko :D) all the treasured memories our group has been throught. All the sad and happy times we’ve had. Life holds so many simple blessings, each day bringing its own individual wonder and i can say that having you guys as my groupmates are wonderfull blessing that i trully appreciate :D Thanks JEMM! and congratulations to us!

JEMM After defense Blog # 1

Our defense is over. We passed with Minor Revisions! I did not expect that our group will reach this far together. How come am I saying this? Well our group experience a lot. A lot of arguing, a lot of fighting, a lot of crying and a lot of drama. Our group almost broke out and separated BUT, with the help of serious talks and calm thoughts, we compromised.

Enough about the negativity, JEMM also experienced a LOT of happy and new things. Like Joanna, she never liked riding jeepneys but our group taught her to do that. Manu and Eric, always being funny and joking learned to be serious and dedicated to work. As for me, Marhiz, what did i learn? Hmm.. I think it maybe the TRUST that our group can finish our thesis.

I will always remember our unforgettable memories like our food trip in “Temptation Island” (the food stalls in Recto), mini-temptation island in Katipunan Station (Takoyaki and Siomai House), our Starbucks midnight drives, grocery moments in Save More and Robinsons Supermarket, pictorials anywhere and a lot more.

Team JEMM, I congratulate us for going this far.

We did not do good, WE DID GREAT!!!

This coming thursday is the submission deadline for our thesis project. Today marks the last day of our overnight in Manu’s house! :( (We will miss the food here!!)

According to our countdown timer(Yes, we have a countdown timer!), we have exactly 2 days and 66 hours left. *PANIC MODE* Please wish us luck guys!!

PS: We’re so sorry for not being able to update this blog for almost two weeks. But we’ve been really really BUSY. After this deadline, we will surely be able to update this everyday. I’m going to ask each of my members to write their own blog for their some-words-that-I-want-to-say-after-thesis-submission. Please do watch our for it. I’m sure it’ll be FUN.
